Meta’s Threads, Twitter‘s social media competitor, has launched with great success, even surpassing ChatGPT in terms of signups!
The introduction of the Threads platform was impressive beyond expectations as it managed to gather over 100 million users in just 5 days! This statistic is outstanding and puts it in first place among the fastest growing apps, surpassing even ChatGPT.
It is worth noting that Threads achieved this number of users in just two months, while ChatGPT took longer. It’s important to note that Threads has only been out to the public for a week now, while ChatGPT has been available for longer and covers more regions.
It is also noted that Europe has not yet allowed Threads to operate on internet, as it has not yet issued approval for its use in its 27 member countries. This is a limitation for the development of Threads in the European market.
At the same time, CloudFlare’s CEO notes in a post that Twitter appears to be experiencing traffic issues as users seek alternatives.
