2022 Sony Open: Live stream, how to watch online, TV schedule, golf tee times, radio coverage

After a week on Maui for the Tournament of Champions, the PGA Tour hops from one island to the next. Now, it’s on to Honolulu this week for the first full field tournament of 2022, the Sony Open.

Last week’s winner is this week’s favorite, as Cam Smith goes for the fifth PGA Tour victory of his career and second of the year. It would also be his second at this tournament; he beat Brendan Steele in a playoff in 2020 for his first individual PGA Tour title.

Smith is joined by Webb Simpson, Hideki Matsuyama, Harris English and Abraham Ancer in what should be a different viewing experience than last week’s Tournament of Champions. While this field is more wide open — only one golfer is better than 15-1 to win — the course itself is much tighter.

Regardless, it’s Hawaii, and Waialae is a Seth Raynor original design. Throw in a quality field hungry for an early win without some of the biggest stars in the game around to gobble them up, and we should be in for a competitive, exciting week in Honolulu.
