(ANSA) – ROME, AUG 5 – Italian police have arrested a Milan man in his 30s for allegedly pretending to be a 14-year-old in order to groom girls via Whatsapp, daily newspaper Il Giorno reported on Friday.
The suspect allegedly used this ruse to get 26 girls aged 10-to-13 to strip naked for him and engage in online sexual activities.
Investigators reportedly found many nude photos of the suspect's victims on his computer.
The probe stemmed from a complaint filed by the parents of one of the girls, the report said.
The suspect is accused of sexual violence, with the young age of the victims an aggravating factors, and possession of child pornography. (ANSA).
